(The C++ MPI API is deprecated.) An MCP2210 chip along with a CD74HC132E quad Nand gate used as glue logic is used to interface with an HX711 load cell amplifier. Python along with the PyUSB library is used for control. Tkinter is used as both a visual interface and thread manager. The program uses workcells which are virtual autonomous machines which communicate over a virtual peer to peer network.
