Voswatcher is a tool to collect time correlated performance data on a Solaris or Linux system. This is a tool to gather data before, during, and after an event. It is a set of scripts which makes it suitable for use with sensitive clients.

gdeptrace sorts an input dependancy list or table and prints it, and can do other actions. It's default operation is to act like tsort (1) except that it sorts by pure pkg / make dependancy (tsort sorts by grapical topology: see notes about differences). dpkglist.awk is a command-line tool for querying available packages on ubuntu and debian systems. It overlaps with the standard apt-cache utility, but, written in simple awk, it is easily extensible, and makes it easy to write one-line scripts.

edifact2awk is a small C program that parses an EDIFACT file and converts it to a flat text file which may then be easily parsed by the AWK textprocessing language (including by other script languages like Perl, Python, Visual Basic, etc.).

Etckeeper-ng is a bash script which uses git and rsync awk sed and find to create a backup directory of your /etc linux directory. It is easy to configure. The default configuration should work on most boxes. Just make sure you have git rsync and all the other requirements installed. When you use the etckeeper-ng the first time open a terminal and type "etckeeper-ng init" to create your first initial backup or "etckeeper-ng help" to show the help for this script.
