Neoformat
A (Neo)vim plugin for formatting code
Neoformat uses a variety of formatters for many filetypes. Currently, Neoformat will run a formatter using the current buffer data, and on success, it will update the current buffer with the formatted text. On a formatter failure, Neoformat will try the next formatter defined for the filetype. By using getbufline() to read from the current buffer instead of file, Neoformat is able to format your buffer without you having to :w your file first. Also, by using setline(), marks, jumps, etc. are all maintained after formatting. Neoformat supports both sending buffer data to formatters via stdin, and also writing buffer data to /tmp/ for formatters to read that do not support input via stdin. If a formatter is either not configured to use stdin, or is not able to read from stdin, then buffer data will be written to a file in /tmp/neoformat/, where the formatter will then read from. -

StyLua
An opinionated Lua code formatter
An opinionated code formatter for Lua 5.1, 5.2, 5.3, 5.4 and Luau, built using full-moon. StyLua is inspired by the likes of prettier, it parses your Lua codebase, and prints it back out from scratch, enforcing a consistent code style. By default, these are built with all syntax variants enabled (Lua 5.2, 5.3, 5.4 and Luau), to cover all possible codebases. If you would like to format a specific Lua version only, see installing from crates.io. You can use the stylua-action GitHub Action in your CI to install and run StyLua. This action uses the prebuilt GitHub release binaries, instead of running cargo install, for faster CI times. This command will format the foo.lua and bar.lua file, and search down the src directory to format any files within it. StyLua can also read from stdin, by using - as the file name. -

If you're looking for other projects to contribute to please see the Hex package manager site. Elixir v1.6 introduced a Code Formatter and Mix format task. The formatter should be preferred for all new projects and source code. The rules in this section are applied automatically by the code formatter, but are provided here as examples of the preferred style. Use Unix-style line endings (*BSD/Solaris/Linux/OSX users are covered by default, Windows users have to be extra careful). Use spaces around operators, after commas, colons and semicolons. Do not put spaces around matched pairs like brackets, parentheses, etc. Whitespace might be (mostly) irrelevant to the Elixir runtime, but its proper use is the key to writing easily readable code. -

prettier-eslint-cli

You have a bunch of files that you want to format using prettier-eslint. But prettier-eslint can only operate on strings. This is a CLI that allows you to use prettier-eslint on one or multiple files. prettier-eslint-cli forwards on the filePath and other relevant options to prettier-eslint which identifies the applicable ESLint config for each file and uses that to determine the options for prettier and eslint --fix. By default prettier-eslint will simply log the formatted version to the terminal. If you want to overwrite the file itself (a common use-case) then add --write. You should quote your globs, otherwise your terminal will expand the glob before it gets to prettier-eslint. -

You can wire formatting to save events, cursor holds, or run it manually, keeping it as strict or as gentle as your workflow needs. For teams, a shared config ensures consistent code style across contributors regardless of their local editor knowledge.
