JFlex is a flex-like lexer generator for Java with emphasis on speed and full Unicode support. It has some not so usual features like negation in regexps and nested input streams. Also reads JLex specifications unchanged.

Xsemantics is a DSL (implemented in Xtext itself) for writing type systems, reduction rules, interpreters (and in general relation rules) for languages implemented in Xtext. It then generates Java code that can be used in your language implemented in Xtext for scoping and validation (it can also generate a validator in Java).

Ccide reads a source program, in one of several programming languages, expands all embedded decision tables, and generates the new, expanded source. Ccidew processes C language programs directly.
