    Progressive Web Apps for Firefox

    Progressive Web Apps for Firefox

A tool to install, manage and use Progressive Web Apps (PWAs)

A tool to install, manage and use Progressive Web Apps (PWAs) in Mozilla Firefox. Progressive Web Apps (PWAs) are web apps that use web APIs and features along with a progressive enhancement strategy to bring a native app-like user experience to cross-platform web applications. Although Firefox supports many of Progressive Web App APIs, it does not support functionality to install them as a standalone system app with an app-like experience. This project creates a custom-modified Firefox runtime to allow websites to be installed as standalone apps and provides a console tool and browser extension to install, manage and use them. Command-line tool to install, manage and run Progressive Web Apps in Firefox. Extension to set up native programs, and install, manage and run PWAs and their profiles directly from the main Firefox browser. Isolated Firefox installation and profile(s) that stores the PWAs.

    Capslock

    Capslock

Tool to remap Caps Lock key behavior on Windows systems

Capslock is a command-line tool for analyzing the capabilities of Go packages to reveal what privileged operations their code and dependencies can perform. Rather than detecting vulnerabilities, Capslock focuses on identifying capabilities — permissions implied by calls to sensitive or privileged standard library functions, such as file system access, networking, or process control. By following transitive call graphs, it classifies which security-sensitive operations each package can reach, giving developers visibility into what their dependencies are capable of doing. This helps apply the Principle of Least Privilege to Go software, guiding audits, supply chain reviews, and trust assessments. Capslock aims to make security posture analysis more proactive by surfacing capability-based risk signals before malicious or overly powerful code is introduced into production.

    GeoIP

    GeoIP

This project automatically generates GeoIP files in multiple formats

GeoIP is a community-maintained project that generates and publishes enhanced GeoIP/Geo-database and IP-location/routing data in multiple formats (e.g. V2Ray .dat, MaxMind .mmdb, and others) to support proxy, VPN, or routing tools requiring IP-to-country/region resolution. Rather than depending solely on the official GeoLite2 data, geoip augments and merges data sources (especially for certain regions) to improve coverage or tailor by use-case (e.g. proxy-specific rules, private networks, or region-based classification). The repo provides automated, periodic releases (e.g. weekly or on schedule) and also offers a CLI tool so users can regenerate or customize geo data in the format they need — for example, producing a .dat file for V2Ray / Xray-core, or a MaxMind-compatible .mmdb.

    Nativefier

    Nativefier

Make any web page a desktop application

Nativefier is a command-line tool designed to create a desktop app for any web site with minimal configuration. Apps are wrapped by Electron (using Chromium under the hood) in an OS executable (.app, .exe, etc) for use on Windows, macOS and Linux. Nativefier will try to determine the app name, and well as lots of other options. If desired, these options can be overwritten. For example, to override the name, nativefier --name 'My Medium App' 'medium.com' Read the API documentation or run nativefier --help to learn about other command-line flags usable to configure the packaged app. For a list of build commands contributed by the nativefier community take a look at the CATALOG.md file. Nativefier is also usable from Docker. You can pass Nativefier flags, and mount volumes to provide local files.

    Toolbx Linux

    Toolbx Linux

Tool for interactive command line environments on Linux

Toolbx is a tool for Linux, which allows the use of interactive command line environments for development and troubleshooting the host operating system, without having to install software on the host. It is built on top of Podman and other standard container technologies from OCI. Toolbx environments have seamless access to the user's home directory, the Wayland and X11 sockets, networking (including Avahi), removable devices (like USB sticks), systemd journal, SSH agent, D-Bus, limits, /dev and the udev database, etc. This is particularly useful on OSTree-based operating systems like Fedora CoreOS and Silverblue. The intention of these systems is to discourage installation of software on the host, and instead install software as (or in) containers — they mostly don't even have package managers like DNF or YUM. This makes it difficult to set up a development environment or troubleshoot the operating system in the usual way.

    ggshield

    ggshield

Detect and validate 500+ types of hardcoded secrets

GitGuardian’s ggshield is an open-source command-line interface (CLI) tool designed to help developers and security teams detect hardcoded secrets and sensitive credentials early in the development process, either locally or in CI/CD pipelines. It scans source code, configuration files, commit history, and other artifacts to automatically detect hundreds of different secret types — such as API keys, tokens, and passwords — helping prevent accidental leaks before they reach version control or production environments. ggshield can be used interactively on a developer’s machine, integrated as a pre-commit or pre-push git hook, and run as part of automated build or merge workflows to enforce security policies consistently across teams. It works across major operating systems using Python, and offers standalone packaged binaries for environments where Python isn’t available, making it adaptable to a wide range of developer setups.

    J2ObjC

    J2ObjC

A Java to iOS Objective-C translation tool and runtime

J2ObjC is an open-source command-line tool from Google that translates Java source code to Objective-C for the iOS (iPhone/iPad) platform. This tool enables Java source to be part of an iOS application's build, as no editing of the generated files is necessary. The goal is to write an app's non-UI code (such as application logic and data models) in Java, which is then shared by web apps (using GWT), Android apps, and iOS apps. J2ObjC supports most Java language and runtime features required by client-side application developers, including exceptions, inner and anonymous classes, generic types, threads and reflection. JUnit test translation and execution is also supported. J2ObjC cannot convert Android binary applications. Developers must have source code for their Android app, which they either own or are licensed to use.

    JiraCLI

    JiraCLI

    Feature-rich interactive Jira command line

JiraCLI is an interactive command line tool for Atlassian Jira that will help you avoid Jira UI to some extent. This tool is not yet considered complete but has all the essential features required to improve your workflow with Jira. The tool started with the idea of making issue search and navigation as straightforward as possible. However, with the help of outstanding supporters like you, we evolved, and the tool now includes all necessary features like issue creation, cloning, linking, ticket transition, and much more. Note that some features might work slightly differently in cloud installation versus on-premise installation due to the nature of the data. Yet, we've attempted to make the experience as similar as possible. jira-cli is available as a downloadable packaged binary for Linux, macOS, and Windows from the releases page.

    Playwriter

    Playwriter

Chrome extension to let agents control your browser

Playwriter is an open-source project that combines a Chrome extension with a CLI to allow autonomous agents to control a web browser directly using Playwright code in a stateful sandbox environment. The system enables browser automation by running Playwright commands through a persistent session managed by a background extension, allowing agents or scripts to navigate, interact with, and query browser contexts without losing state between commands. This makes it valuable for scenarios where AI agents need to perform complex web automation tasks—like multi-step navigation, form interaction, or content extraction—without reinitializing context or state every time. Playwriter’s architecture supports both extension-based control for real browser windows and CLI integration, giving developers flexibility in how they build and run browser automation workflows.

    QMD

    QMD

mini cli search engine for your docs, knowledge bases, etc.

QMD is a powerful and lightweight command-line tool that acts as an on-device search engine for your personal knowledge base, allowing you to index and search files like Markdown notes, meeting transcripts, technical documentation, and other text collections without depending on cloud services. Designed to keep all search activity local, it combines classic full-text search techniques with modern semantic features such as vector similarity and hybrid ranking so that queries return not just literal matches but conceptually relevant results. Users can organize content into named collections, embed documents for semantic retrieval, and then perform keyword searches, semantic searches, or hybrid natural-language queries to quickly surface the most useful information across all indexed sources. Because the entire system runs on the user’s machine, privacy is preserved and there’s no risk of exposing sensitive content to outside providers.

    skills

    skills

The open agent skills tool - npx skills

skills is a CLI that turns “agent skills” into a portable, installable ecosystem, letting developers add reusable instruction sets to many different coding agents from a single command. Instead of hardcoding prompts per tool, it standardizes skills as SKILL.md files with structured metadata so they can be discovered, listed, installed, updated, and version-tracked consistently. The CLI supports pulling skills from common git sources, including GitHub shorthand, full URLs, direct paths inside repos, GitLab URLs, generic git remotes, and even local folders. It is designed to work across a wide range of agents and editors, so one skill package can be installed into multiple agent-specific directories without rewriting anything for each environment. It also supports both interactive and automation-friendly flows, including non-interactive installs for CI and bulk installs for all skills, which makes it usable for teams that want consistent agent capability across machines.
