OpenDrop
An open Apple AirDrop implementation written in Python
OpenDrop is a command-line tool that allows sharing files between devices directly over Wi-Fi. Its unique feature is that it is protocol-compatible with Apple AirDrop which allows to share files with Apple devices running iOS and macOS. Currently (and probably also for the foreseeable future), OpenDrop only supports sending to Apple devices that are discoverable by everybody as the default contacts-only mode requires Apple-signed certificates. We support contacts-only devices by using extracted AirDrop credentials (keys and certificates) from macOS via our keychain extractor. OpenDrop is experimental software and is the result of reverse engineering efforts by the Open Wireless Link project. Therefore, it does not support all features of AirDrop or might be incompatible with future AirDrop versions. OpenDrop is not affiliated with or endorsed by Apple Inc. A command-line tool to turn web pages into beautiful, readable PDF
Percollate is a command-line tool that turns web pages into beautifully formatted PDF, EPUB, or HTML files. By default, percollate processes URLs in parallel. Use the --wait option to process them sequentially instead, with a pause between items. The delay is specified in seconds, and can be zero. By default, percollate bundles all web pages in a single file. Use the --individual flag to export each source to a separate file. Additional CSS styles you can pass from the command line to override styles specified by the default/custom stylesheet. Generate a hyperlinked table of contents. The option is implicitly enabled when bundling more than one web page to a single file. Disable this implicit behavior by passing the --no-to flag. The idea with percollate is to make PDFs that can be printed without losing where the hyperlinks point to. However, for some link-heavy pages, the appended hrefs can become bothersome. -

A command line tool to download Android applications directly from the Google Play Store by specifying their package name (an initial one-time configuration is required) PlaystoreDownloader is a tool for downloading Android applications directly from the Google Play Store. After an initial (one-time) configuration, applications can be downloaded by specifying their package name. There are two ways of getting a working copy of PlaystoreDownloader on your own computer: either by using Docker or by using directly the source code in a Python 3 environment. In both cases, the first thing to do is to get a local copy of this repository, so open up a terminal in the directory where you want to save the project and clone the repository. Apart from valid Google Play Store credentials, the only requirement of this project is a working Python 3 (at least 3.7) installation and pipenv (for dependency management). -

S3cmd (s3cmd) is a free command line tool and client for uploading, retrieving and managing data in Amazon S3 and other cloud storage service providers that use the S3 protocol, such as Google Cloud Storage or DreamHost DreamObjects. It is best suited for power users who are familiar with command-line programs. It is also ideal for batch scripts and automated backup to S3, triggered from cron, etc. S3cmd is written in Python. It's an open-source project available under GNU Public License v2 (GPLv2) and is free for both commercial and private use. You will only have to pay Amazon for using their storage. cheat.sh is a compact, network-accessible cheat-sheet service that serves concise examples and usage notes for hundreds of shell commands, programming languages, and tools via a simple HTTP interface. You can query it from the terminal (for example curl cht.sh/rsync or curl cheat.sh/ls) or browse the web front page; it also supports a shorthand hostname (cht.sh) and provides both online and standalone/local installation modes. The repository contains the server and client code, instructions to run a local standalone instance (including Python virtualenv setup), and tooling to fetch or maintain the upstream cheat-sheet data; installation documentation explains disk-space needs and dependency setup for offline use. Cheat.sh is intentionally minimal and scriptable, so it fits naturally into shells, CI scripts, editors, and quick lookups without leaving the terminal, while also offering ways to extend or host personal cheat sheets. -

Easily and securely share files and directories from the command line through a safe, private and encrypted link using a single simple command. Files are shared using the Send service and may be up to 1GB. Others are able to download these files with this tool, or through their web browser. All files are always encrypted on the client, and secrets are never shared with the remote host. An optional password may be specified, and a default file lifetime of 1 (up to 20) download or 24 hours is enforced to ensure your stuff does not remain online forever. This provides a secure platform to share your files. History tracking your files for easy management, ability to use your own Send hosts. Inspect or delete shared files, accurate error reporting. Streaming encryption and uploading/downloading, very low memory footprint. Intended for use in scripts without interaction. -

grex
A command-line tool and library for generating regular expressions
grex is a library as well as a command-line utility that is meant to simplify the often complicated and tedious task of creating regular expressions. It does so by automatically generating a single regular expression from user-provided test cases. The resulting expression is guaranteed to match the test cases which it was generated from. This project has started as a Rust port of the JavaScript tool regexgen written by Devon Govett. Although a lot of further useful features could be added to it, its development was apparently ceased several years ago. The plan is now to add these new features to grex as Rust really shines when it comes to command-line tools. grex offers all features that regexgen provides, and more. The philosophy of this project is to generate the most specific regular expression possible by default that exactly matches the given input only and nothing else. With the use of command-line flags (in the CLI tool) or preprocessing methods (in the library). -

A command-line benchmarking tool. Statistical analysis across multiple runs. Support for arbitrary shell commands. Constant feedback about the benchmark progress and current estimates. Warmup runs can be executed before the actual benchmark. Cache-clearing commands can be set up before each timing run. Statistical outlier detection to detect interference from other programs and caching effects. Export results to various formats: CSV, JSON, Markdown, AsciiDoc. Parameterized benchmarks (e.g. vary the number of threads). Cross-platform. Hyperfine will automatically determine the number of runs to perform for each command. By default, it will perform at least 10 benchmarking runs and measure for at least 3 seconds. For programs that perform a lot of disk I/O, the benchmarking results can be heavily influenced by disk caches and whether they are cold or warm. If you want to run the benchmark on a warm cache, you can use the -w/--warmup option. -

Mac App Store command line interface. mas-cli is a simple command line interface for the Mac App Store. Designed for scripting and automation. mas requires Swift 5 runtime support. macOS 10.14.4 and later include it, but earlier releases did not. Each application in the Mac App Store has a product identifier which is also used for mas-cli commands. Using mas list will show all installed applications and their product identifiers. It is possible to search for applications by name using mas search which will search the Mac App Store and return matching identifiers. Include the --price flag to include prices in the result. mas is integrated with homebrew-bundle. If mas is installed, and you run brew bundle dump, then your Mac App Store apps will be included in the Brewfile created.
