The Paleo-Hebrew Abjad font is a constructivist idealization of the Paleo-Hebrew abjad, i.e. a script consisting only of consonants. It contains 22 Paleo-Hebrew letters, period, geresh, gershayim, and – additionally – six Phoenician numerals: 1, 2, 3, 10, 20, and 100. Since the Phoenician and Paleo-Hebrew alphabets were practically the same, this font allows you to write in Phoenician as well. A code font with monospaced ligatures
Programming languages are limited to relatively few characters. As a result, combined character operators surfaced quite early, such as the widely used arrow (->), comprised of a hyphen and greater sign. It looks like an arrow if you know the analogy and squint a bit. Composite glyphs are problematic in languages such as Haskell which utilize these complicated operators (=> -< >>= etc.) extensively.
