C-Lesh is a game programming language for 2D games - mainly arcade and platform games. When combined with the Super Mario World (SMW) engine you can create awesome 2D platform games like Super Mario World. This language evolved from a "clone" of TI-BASIC which I began developing when I was having memory (segmentation fault) bugs with C. C-Lesh lacks memory allocation and destruction. There is no need to use pointers and you can never get memory leaks or program crashes caused by memory leaks. As C-Lesh is somewhat primitive you may like it if you are into C. This Java package handles DBPF files which are used in SimCity 4. The NEW version (2.0) has all functions in one JDBPF package. JavaDoc can be found here: "http://caspervg.net/jdbpf/javadoc/". The OLD version (<1.6) has its basic functions packaged in the DBPF4J. Extended functions which needs some libraries (XTools) are in the DBPF4J-Ext package.

...This system is an experimental 8 bit, 16 color computer, with a processer similar to Z80, that (on my laptop using linux with NO opengl support) achieves up to 1.2 Million instructions per second and 50 Hz. screen refresh rate. It has a builtin assembler to load assembler programs. There is a rudimentary rom that implements some basic functions like line input, or a system clock. Also there is a snake game, (depending on that rom), as a reference and for fun! Take a look, give me your reply! When having ideas for better performance, let me know! -
