    Edge GPT

    Edge GPT

Reverse engineered API of Microsoft's Bing Chat

EdgeGPT is a reverse-engineered client project that exposed a programmatic interface to Microsoft’s Bing Chat experience (often associated with “Edge” due to access patterns and requirements at the time). It was built to let developers run prompts and retrieve responses through scripts and applications, effectively turning the chat experience into something that could be automated and integrated into tools. The repository gained popularity because it provided a practical way to experiment with Bing Chat programmatically, including CLI-style usage patterns and developer-oriented documentation. As with many reverse-engineered clients, it depended on upstream behavior that could change, and the project’s lifecycle reflected that reality. The repository was later archived, meaning it is read-only and no longer actively maintained, but it remains a reference point for how developers approached unofficial access to Bing Chat. In essence, EdgeGPT served as a bridge between an interactive chat

    Emb-GAM

    Emb-GAM

An interpretable and efficient predictor using pre-trained models

Deep learning models have achieved impressive prediction performance but often sacrifice interpretability, a critical consideration in high-stakes domains such as healthcare or policymaking. In contrast, generalized additive models (GAMs) can maintain interpretability but often suffer from poor prediction performance due to their inability to effectively capture feature interactions. In this work, we aim to bridge this gap by using pre-trained neural language models to extract embeddings for each input before learning a linear model in the embedding space. The final model (which we call Emb-GAM) is a transparent, linear function of its input features and feature interactions. Leveraging the language model allows Emb-GAM to learn far fewer linear coefficients, model larger interactions, and generalize well to novel inputs. Across a variety of natural-language-processing datasets, Emb-GAM achieves strong prediction performance without sacrificing interpretability.

    Exposure

    Exposure

Learning infinite-resolution image processing with GAN and RL

Learning infinite-resolution image processing with GAN and RL from unpaired image datasets, using a differentiable photo editing model. ACM Transactions on Graphics (presented at SIGGRAPH 2018) Exposure is originally designed for RAW photos, which assumes 12+ bit color depth and linear "RGB" color space (or whatever we get after demosaicing). jpg and png images typically have only 8-bit color depth (except 16-bit pngs) and the lack of information (dynamic range/activation resolution) may lead to suboptimal results such as posterization. Moreover, jpg and most pngs assume an sRGB color space, which contains a roughly 1/2.2 Gamma correction, making the data distribution different from training images (which are linear). Exposure is just a prototype (proof-of-concept) of our latest research, and there are definitely a lot of engineering efforts required to make it suitable for a real product.

    GANformer

    GANformer

    Generative Adversarial Transformers

This is an implementation of the GANformer model, a novel and efficient type of transformer, explored for the task of image generation. The network employs a bipartite structure that enables long-range interactions across the image, while maintaining computation of linearly efficiency, that can readily scale to high-resolution synthesis. The model iteratively propagates information from a set of latent variables to the evolving visual features and vice versa, to support the refinement of each in light of the other and encourage the emergence of compositional representations of objects and scenes. In contrast to the classic transformer architecture, it utilizes multiplicative integration that allows flexible region-based modulation and can thus be seen as a generalization of the successful StyleGAN network. Using the pre-trained models (generated after training for 5-7x less steps than StyleGAN2 models! Training our models for longer will improve the image quality further).

    GPT-NeoX

    GPT-NeoX

Implementation of model parallel autoregressive transformers on GPUs

This repository records EleutherAI's library for training large-scale language models on GPUs. Our current framework is based on NVIDIA's Megatron Language Model and has been augmented with techniques from DeepSpeed as well as some novel optimizations. We aim to make this repo a centralized and accessible place to gather techniques for training large-scale autoregressive language models, and accelerate research into large-scale training. For those looking for a TPU-centric codebase, we recommend Mesh Transformer JAX. If you are not looking to train models with billions of parameters from scratch, this is likely the wrong library to use. For generic inference needs, we recommend you use the Hugging Face transformers library instead which supports GPT-NeoX models.

    Hands-on Unsupervised Learning

    Hands-on Unsupervised Learning

Code for Hands-on Unsupervised Learning Using Python (O'Reilly Media)

This repo contains the code for the O'Reilly Media, Inc. book "Hands-on Unsupervised Learning Using Python: How to Build Applied Machine Learning Solutions from Unlabeled Data" by Ankur A. Patel. Many industry experts consider unsupervised learning the next frontier in artificial intelligence, one that may hold the key to the holy grail in AI research, the so-called general artificial intelligence. Since the majority of the world's data is unlabeled, conventional supervised learning cannot be applied; this is where unsupervised learning comes in. Unsupervised learning can be applied to unlabeled datasets to discover meaningful patterns buried deep in the data, patterns that may be near impossible for humans to uncover. Author Ankur Patel provides practical knowledge on how to apply unsupervised learning using two simple, production-ready Python frameworks - scikit-learn and TensorFlow. With the hands-on examples and code provided, you will identify difficult-to-find patterns in data.

    HyperGAN

Composable GAN framework with api and user interface

A composable GAN built for developers, researchers, and artists. HyperGAN builds generative adversarial networks in PyTorch and makes them easy to train and share. HyperGAN is currently in pre-release and open beta. Everyone will have different goals when using hypergan. HyperGAN is currently beta. We are still searching for a default cross-data-set configuration. Each of the examples supports search. Automated search can help find good configurations. If you are unsure, you can start with the 2d-distribution.py. Check out random_search.py for possibilities, you'll likely want to modify it. The examples are capable of (sometimes) finding a good trainer, like 2d-distribution. Mixing and matching components seems to work.

    Kaleidoscope-SDK

    Kaleidoscope-SDK

User toolkit for analyzing and interfacing with Large Language Models

kaleidoscope-sdk is a Python module used to interact with large language models hosted via the Kaleidoscope service available at: https://github.com/VectorInstitute/kaleidoscope. It provides a simple interface to launch LLMs on an HPC cluster, asking them to perform basic features like text generation, but also retrieve intermediate information from inside the model, such as log probabilities and activations. Users must authenticate using their Vector Institute cluster credentials. This can be done interactively instantiating a client object. This will generate an authentication token that will be used for all subsequent requests. The token will expire after 30 days, at which point the user will be prompted to re-authenticate.

    MMGeneration

    MMGeneration

MMGeneration is a powerful toolkit for generative models

MMGeneration has been merged in MMEditing. And we have supported new-generation tasks and models. MMGeneration is a powerful toolkit for generative models, especially for GANs now. It is based on PyTorch and MMCV. The master branch works with PyTorch 1.5+. We currently support training on Unconditional GANs, Internal GANs, and Image Translation Models. Support for conditional models will come soon. A plentiful toolkit containing multiple applications in GANs is provided to users. GAN interpolation, GAN projection, and GAN manipulations are integrated into our framework. It's time to play with your GANs! For the highly dynamic training in generative models, we adopt a new way to train dynamic models with MMDDP. A new design for complex loss modules is proposed for customizing the links between modules, which can achieve flexible combinations among different modules. Conditional GANs have been supported in our toolkit. More methods and pre-trained weights will come soon.

    Minimal text diffusion

    Minimal text diffusion

A minimal implementation of diffusion models for text generation

A minimal implementation of diffusion models of text: learns a diffusion model of a given text corpus, allowing to generate text samples from the learned model. The main idea was to retain just enough code to allow training a simple diffusion model and generating samples, remove image-related terms, and make it easier to use. To train a model, run scripts/train.sh. By default, this will train a model on the simple corpus. However, you can change this to any text file using the --train_data argument. Note that you may have to increase the sequence length (--seq_len) if your corpus is longer than the simple corpus. The other default arguments are set to match the best setting I found for the simple corpus.

    NÜWA - Pytorch

    NÜWA - Pytorch

Implementation of NÜWA, attention network for text to video synthesis

Implementation of NÜWA, state of the art attention network for text-to-video synthesis, in Pytorch. It also contains an extension into video and audio generation, using a dual decoder approach. It seems as though a diffusion-based method has taken the new throne for SOTA. However, I will continue on with NUWA, extending it to use multi-headed codes + hierarchical causal transformer. I think that direction is untapped for improving on this line of work. In the paper, they also present a way to condition the video generation based on segmentation mask(s). You can easily do this as well, given you train a VQGanVAE on the sketches beforehand. Then, you will use NUWASketch instead of NUWA, which can accept the sketch VAE as a reference. This repository will also offer a variant of NUWA that can produce both video and audio. For now, the audio will need to be encoded manually.

    Point-E

    Point-E

Point cloud diffusion for 3D model synthesis

point-e is the official repository for Point-E, a generative model developed by OpenAI that produces 3D point clouds from textual (or image) prompts. Its principal advantage is speed: it can generate 3D assets in just 1–2 minutes on a single GPU, which is significantly faster than many competing text-to-3D models. The model works via a two-stage diffusion approach: first, it uses a text → image diffusion network to produce a synthetic 2D view consistent with the prompt; then a second diffusion model converts that image into a 3D point cloud. While it does not match the fine detail of some slower methods, the tradeoff in speed makes it practical for prototyping and interactive 3D generation. The repository includes inference scripts, utilities for converting point clouds to meshes (e.g. via signed distance function regression), sample notebooks, and weight checkpoints. It also provides documentation on limitations, usage instructions, and example outputs.
