    bfxr

    bfxr

Flash + AIR sound effects generator. Based on Sfxr.

...Its purpose is to enable users, especially game developers and sound designers, to quickly generate retro, 8-bit/“chiptune” style sound effects (“bleeps”, “booms”, “zaps”, etc.) without deep knowledge of audio signal processing. It offers an interactive GUI through which you can tweak many parameters (oscillators, envelopes, filters, etc.) to sculpt custom sound effects; you can preview in real time, export, and iterate. The project includes libraries, HTML templates, and both ActionScript and JavaScript code. It has been well-received (over a thousand stars), but as of 2025, it has been superseded by a newer version called bfxr2, which is a JavaScript reworking of the original.

    CLEF

    CLEF

    CIRMMT Live Electronics Framework

CLEF is a Max-based modular environment for composition and performance of live electronics, developed at CIRMMT/McGill University.

CLEF follows structural design concepts and allows users to rapidly create digital signal processing topologies and control data taking advantage of the provided infrastructure and feature set.
CLEF separates domain model from data access layer and user interface, relying on dedicated technologies: OpenSoundControl for data access, Max dictionaries for module description and pattr for storage management. CLEF is implemented natively on top of Max and does not require external installers, libraries or compiled code. ...

    FAZIA DAQ

    FAZIA DAQ

The aim of FAZIA project is to build a 4Pi array for charged particles

...The aim of the project is to build a 4Pi array for charged particles, with high granularity and good energy resolution, with A and Z identification capability over the widest possible range. It will use the up-to-date techniques concerning detection, signal processing and data flow, with full digital electronics. Neutron detection is also foreseen via the collaboration with the NEUTROMANIA group. FAZIA is designed to operate at stable and radioactive beams facilities like LNL-Legnaro, LNS-Catania in Italy, GANIL-SPIRAL and SPIRAL2 in France, GSI-FAIR in Germany in the horizon 2010-2015. ...
