A 3270 font in a modern format
...I built it because I felt terminals deserve to be pretty. The .sfd font file contains a x3270 bitmap font that was used for guidance. The "source" file is edited using FontForge. You'll need it if you want to generate fonts for your platform. On most civilized operating systems, you can simply apt-get install fontforge, yum install fontforge or even port install fontforge. If you are running Windows, you'll probably need something like WSL or Cygwin, but, in the end, the font works correctly (with some very minor hinting issues). ... -

...Thanks to DejaVu Sans font (v2.35) published in public domain there was a free software base to start the Vazir project. Although Vazir was completely different in typeface, still the original software was common. The design is done in Fontforge. For Latin glyphs, Vazirmatn is combined with Roboto font by a build script, however, there is also a version without Latin glyphs (Non-Latin). All weights other than Thin, Regular and Black are generated by the interpolation method by fontmake library. -

This repo contains a Fontforge python script that you can use to add the Fira Code ligatures to any font, as well as submodules for some popular coding fonts and another script for ligaturizing all of them at once. The font-weight will be inherited from the original file; the font name will be replaced with whatever you specified in --output-name. You can also use --prefix instead, in which case the original name will be preserved and whatever you put in --prefix will be prepended to it. -

retro TTF font mimicing old EGA font
This is a TrueType font (TTF), that is an exact copy of the font used by DOS. I made it using the FontForge software, and the *.CPI fonts bundled with FreeDOS as a model. DOS/EGA is a Unicode-BMP font, therefore it may be used without troubles on modern, multilingual systems. It supports english, french, polish, german, and probably several other languages. Beside its "retro" value, it's a great replacement to the oldish "fixedsys" font. -
