    RANSFOIL is a console program to calculate airflow field around an isolated airfoil in low-speed, subsonic, transonic or supersonic regime by numerically solving the Reynolds averaged Navier-Stokes (RANS) equations using mature computational fluid dynamics (CFD) method. As postprocess results, the aerodynamic parameters of the airfoil, e.g., lift coefficient and drag coefficient, can be integrated from the airflow distribution near wall boundary. In addition, the coupling between airflow and heat transfer and the effect of surface roughness on near wall flow are considered by this program, it can be used for engineering calculation of the friction drag and heat transfer coefficients on airfoil surface. RANSFOIL reads coordinates data from a 1D XYZ file which describes the grid points or control points on airfoil as only input, then outputs grid and solution files in 2D PLOT3D format to record grid coordinates and airflow data and a report file to show aerodynamic parameters.

    Sour*eforge.net has become inaccesible to me because of Cl*udflare. The latest version of skunks is on my site: https://matei.one/. 3D realistic driving (not racing) simulation with software rendering, based on Open Dynamics Engine (which is included in all *.tar.gz files so it doesn't have to be downloaded separately). 10 cars (all electric) and 16 tracks are available in version 5.1.0. Cars and tracks can be easily created and modified. Only SDL 1.2 or SDL 2 required besides standard C library. GNU/Linux and Wind0ws executables are available. If using GNU/Linux and SDL 2, it might be necessary to add -lpthread in the comp file, at line 2.

    A MATLAB Automatic Differentiation Tool

    ADiGator is a source transformation via operator overloading tool for the automatic differentiation of mathematical functions written in MATLAB. Given a user written file, together with information on the inputs of said file, ADiGator uses forward mode automatic differentiation to generate a new file which contains the calculations required to compute the numeric derivatives of the original user function. Furthermore, these calculations are written entirely in the native MATLAB language, and thus the process may be repeated to obtain nth order derivative files. The package is particularly appealing for applications where the same derivative must be found at multiple different points, i.e. non-linear root finding/optimization, stiff ode integration, etc.
