BasicNews is a simple news (NNTP) server for Linux. It's meant to be used as an internal server (eg. as a company news server, or private NNTP server, etc). BasicNews is not able to exchange posts with other servers, as it is designed to run on a leaf site. Keeping it simple allowed me to create an easy to install NNTP server, with no maintenance burden.
