It will throw a spinning barberpole on the screen while your script is doing something that may take a long, but unknown time. When it is done, a single hey or kill command removes the barberpole. yabdialog displays dialogs, alerts and panels on the Haiku Desktop
yabdialog (previously called hdialog) is a CLI utility that displays a variety of dialogs, alerts and panels with more control over color and placement than you get with the alert and filepanel commands included with Haiku. I decided to write it, because I had been using the Microsoft's EDIT editor for years, without finding any free alternative. It's a Delphi-Interface in that computers are shown as buttons on a satellite image of my school. The buttons have remote-controle-functions. It should be a helpfull tool for administrators. I hope for new features in my GUI like "logging of".
