A .gitignore magician in your command line. Joe generates .gitignore files from the command line for you. After install, make sure to run joe u. This will download all .gitignore files in ~/joe-data/ folder. Download the latest binary from the Releases page. It's the easiest way to get started with joe. Make sure to add the location of the binary to your $PATH. You can also use joe to append to a global .gitignore. These can be helpful when you want to ignore files generated by an IDE, OS, or otherwise. Joe isn't just a generator for .gitignore files. You can use it and its output wherever a SCM is used.

git-commit-id-maven-plugin is a plugin quite similar to Build Number Maven Plugin for example but as the Build Number plugin at the time when I started this plugin only supported CVS and SVN, something had to be done. I had to quickly develop a Git version of such a plugin. For those who don't know the plugin, it basically helps you with the following tasks and answers related questions. The plugin is available from Maven Central (see here), so you don't have to configure any additional repositories to use this plugin. A detailed description of using the plugin is available in the Using the plugin document. All you need to do in the basic setup is to include that plugin definition in your pom.xml. For more advanced users we also prepared a guide to provide a brief overview of the more advanced configurations. Even though this plugin tries to be compatible with every Maven version there are some known limitations with specific versions.

Tool for turning many repos into a meta repo. why choose many repos or a monolithic repo, when you can have both with a meta repo? meta is powered by plugins that wrap common commands, letting you execute them against some or all of the repos in your solution at once. meta is built on loop, and as such inherits loops ability to easily target a particular set of directories for executing a common command (eg meta git status --include-only dir1,dir2. See loop for more available options). meta is a tool for managing multi-project systems and libraries. It answers the conundrum of choosing between a mono repo or many repos by saying "both", with a meta repo! Give every engineer on your team the same project setup, regardless of where it's cloned. Execute arbitrary commands against many repos to manage your projects. Easily wrap commands for working with any platform, not just Node!

Opam is a source-based package manager for OCaml. It supports multiple simultaneous compiler installations, flexible package constraints, and a Git-friendly development workflow. Opam was created and is maintained by OCamlPro. To get started, checkout the Install and Usage guides. Run ./configure. If you don't have the dependencies installed, this will locally take care of all OCaml dependencies for you (downloading them, unless you used the inclusive archive we provide for each release). This is all you need for installing and using opam, but if you want to use the opam-lib (to work on opam-related tools), you need to link it to installed libraries. It's easier to already have a working opam installation in this case, so you can do it as a second step. If you install on your system (without changing the prefix), you will need to install as root (sudo). As sudo do not propagate environment variables, there wil be some errors.

Eclipse's Subversive plug-ins allow usage of the Subversion version control from within your Eclipse workspace, however these plug-ins require a SVN connector in order to work.
