Errors running Alice

Hello,

I'm hoping someone can help. I am a fairly technical
guy but I do not know Java at all. I downloaded and am
trying to tun Alice from a Win2000 system with 396MB
of ram. Below is the error I get. Anybody know what it
is or where to start?

Starting Alicebot.Net 4.0 Beta Server ...
Exception in thread "main"
java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: ///

I am having problems running alice

i recently downloaded the beta version alice (program
d). i am unable to run it. at first i kept seeing out
of environmental space. but after selecting the memory
and selecting the intial environment to 4096 it now
says bad command file. i am a beginner and have
trouble understanding some of the terms. is there a
beginners manual i can get to set a.l.i.c.e up? i
don't understand what some things listed under the
alice file mean. please help. i would really like to
learn more.

software like a gaim plugin with alice?

Alice "Bugs" and learning

I am fascinated with the alice software. I had a very
old version of alice running on my pc long ago. This
new version seems to have alot of new bells and
whistles. However, I have noticed that the program is
very unstable. It will crash after about 15 minutes.
(Less if I tell alice alot of things she has never
heard before) Also, I would like to be able to teach
alice. The downloaded version I have "WinAlice" doesnt
seem to learn. She doesnt read the PC's clock for time
and date, She cant remember my name, and she has a
difficult time remembering appointments. Was this
version of alice designed to learn? Or is there just a
preset set of responses? I would really like to work
with this AI and see how far I can take it in its
learning. Unfortunately between the bugs, and the AI's
apparent inability to learn, this is beginning to
appear to be a futile effort. If you have any advice
(Other than massive hardware upgrades) please contact
