Extended header

I'm using Gentoo i386 with ALSA. When running
Alsaplayer from the shell, it gives me a bunch of
"extended header" errors. Possibly related, after
about 7 hours of continuous play, alsaplayer and noatun
(that's all I've tested) will crash (it loops the same
1 second over) and I have to kill the process.
