thanks, for your valueable input!

topic 1 is already on the todo list and I'm thinking about this topic.
https://sourceforge.net/p/analyseplugin/discussion/1662529/thread/8a351364/

The problem is that I would contracdict with the Lexers used in NPP; but let me see...
I will update into the discussion when something happens on this.

Topic 2 was thought of being a support for ensuring consistency in the found results (I admit not having used it so much...)
Maybe also in your case it may be more helpful to use regular expressions to even not find lines you even don't want to see? https://sourceforge.net/p/analyseplugin/discussion/1662529/thread/09a23108/
However, I would agree that at least in the case of hiding complete lines it may be good to also not show them on the result window.

Topic 3 your suggestion about filtering. I looked at the tool and it looks natural to have this switch. However, this idea of two windows which scroll synchroneously are providing a double view an the log files in the same time. At least this was my idea of having the second window with the results aside. When I will do the higlighting in the edit text I will for sure consider this filtering as a part of this feature.

Best regards, Mattes

Saving space on the screen

received by mail:

Hi Mattes,

I am using your plugin analyze for Notepad++.
It is a great plugin.
I have a suggestion for the plugin.

Current implementation:
Search results are shown as search in separate window.
The hide text option hides the text from search result, but the lines leave a huge gap in results.

Problem faced:
1. when the search result is a separate window it poses a challenge to manage 2 windows. specially on a small screen of laptop.
2. Hide search option leaves many blank lines between useful results, causing lot of trouble reading the relevant lines.

Suggestion:
1. Use the main document window to filter results.
Use the hide line command of NPP to hide all the lines that are out of scope of searched filters.
The lines that fall under "hide option" can also be hidden.
2. Use the text highlighter to highlight the searched lines.

Benefits:
1. Ease of use, as only one window to manage.
2. User can easily unhide the lines when necessary.

What I am suggesting is something similar to features of this tool.

Thanks and regards
