To allow only 2 IP addresses, remove the password section.

The connection to the proxy is not encrypted. If you want to encrypt it, ou need to set up a separate encryptted connection via ssh forwards or something similar.

this works for a very short while. i suppose this way the only thing to prevent unauthorized use is the password.
evidently my password got cracked, and sniffers are able to use my proxies after just a few days.

is there another way to allow 2 IPs?

In your config, it says to allow everyone from the localhost, the same machine as where the proxy server is installed. So people from the local machine will be getting through.

To allow two IPs, drag the hand to move the section with your ip addresses up to before the "user auth" section.

whats wrong with this setting? it kind of works (because of the password protection), but some sniffing traffic is still sipping through: (i used to use "block.. if user ip is not..." to allow only 1 IP. now i want to allow 2 ip's)

Yes.

Then to block all other IPs, add a block at the end (press the down button at the end of all the blocks)
And then put a "block" there to block everything. Like in the demo here...

sorry, i am not sure what to block.

so i allow:
allow -- user IP -- is -- 1.2.3.4
allow -- user IP -- is -- 5.6.7.8

how do i block all other IPs?

my current setting is:
block -- user IP -- is not -- 1.2.3.4

so i can change it to:
allow -- user IP -- is -- 1.2.3.4
allow -- user IP -- is -- 5.6.7.8
and all IP's not added will be blocked by default?

To whitelist the user's ip address range. Add a rule that says "Allow", "User IP" is...
192.168.0.0/24

Which would allow 192.168.0.0 - 192.168.0.255

192.168.0.0/23
would allow 192.168.0.0 - 192.168.0.127
