AppLaunch might have a button or checkbox and if enabled, the program will first make sure that a X server is running before it launches the selected command.

Setting environment variables

It would be very nice if AppLaunch lets me set
environment variables, that are passed to all processes
bash, so I can type things like ~/Doc[TAB]f[TAB][ENTER} to have it launch /
Users/me/Documents/file.txt for example.

Running commands as root

I find it very useful if AppLaunch would make it
possible to execute commands with super-user rights.
For this there may the well-known lock symbol next to
the command line. The reason is that I always have to
open a Terminal or launch System Preferences.app just
to run the Apache. With the new feature it would be
possible typing "apachectl start" and execute the
command as super-user.

DiskImage Design

The following message is from brianglasscock:

Hey, I made some changes to the design of the Disk
Image today. The version attached now asks the user to
accept the license agreement before the disk is
mounted. Once the disk is mounted it will auto open.
Also, I have added a image background and changed
around a few other things. A copy is attached.
