packages should be able to drop a $pkgname.sh script
into /etc/profile.d which can be enabled/disabled from
rc.conf

Include a canned kernel package

Well, turns out not everybody likes to build kernels
everyday like I do. Go figure. :)

So we need a kernel package. Most things should be
modular, except for all the boot-critical stuff, like
reiserfs and devfs.

Make sure /usr/src/linux/include is included in the
package.

Include an /etc/arch-release file

To easily find what version of Arch you're running
(though if you use pacsync regularly, you're always
running devel).

Maintenance cron scripts

Some maintenance cron scripts would be handy, but not a
high priority. Things like searching the filesystem
for .pacnew and .pacsave files every once in a while
and notifying root. Or building a report of all files
with SUID bit set.

contribute packages to Arch Linux.

FTP Install

We need to build a decent root/boot image that can be
used for an ftp-based install.

Multiple install sources should be taken into account
when building the interactive installer.

ABS Update Utility

Not terribly important, but it would be nice to have a
script that updated a user's ABS tree. Quite simple,
it basically just needs to do an rsync call.

Interactive Installer

Need an interactive install program to assist the user
in selecting packages and whatnot. It can be coded in
bash if we use dialog.
