when using option to delete source file after compression, what happens to deleted source file?
I had an error during batch compression of a directory, but directory was still deleted after compression even though compression was not successful! where can I recover the original directory? It does not seem to be in the recycle bin.

Files and folders are directly removed. You could consider to use a recovery tool like "Recuva" (a Piriform software) to try to recover it.
