HELP, PLEASE!
I attempted to update my firmware and now my NXT won't work at all.
It won't even turn on or off. If I put the batteries in, it clicks about once per second. There is no response to the buttons. The screen is always blank. I'm really up the creek here.
Specifically, I went to http://bricxcc.sourceforge.net and clicked on "be sure to download the enhanced NBC/NXC firmware", which downloaded the file, lms_arm_nbcnxc.zip. I unzipped this and got lms_arm_nbcnxc_107.rfw and lms_arm_nbcnxc_128.rfw. I opened the Bricx Command Center, specifying port = USB and Brick Type = NXT. I went Tools, Download Firmware, and selected the 128 file. Waited a bit, heard the clicking start. Then I could resume editting my program, so I figured it's all good. But no, the screen is now blank. The clicking only stops if I take out the batteries. What can I do?!
Thanks,
--Tom.
This happens occasionally when the OS pops up the found new hardware window as the NXT shifts into firmware download mode. Please repeat the firmware download process - ignoring the "unable to connect" message you get from BricxCC - and it should work fine the second time.
