I tried to crop simple pdf with cyrillic (russian) characters. Instead of characters briss shows just dots. BTW crop area wasn't determined correctly, seems it was also due to font problem. Crop preview and cropped documents are looked OK. All these were tested on MacOS X. The document I used is in the attachment.
