When using the actual RetroReplay ROMs the c64 doesn't
fire up normally when being equipped with a modiyied
kernal.

saving 'mail' results in a REL file mail

saving a file named 'mail' resulted in a REL type file
'mail'. Possibly the last letter 'l' somehow was
treated as if whole name would be 'mail,l'. Interesting
one.

LUnix (NG) CP program writes one extra byte

What does the kernel do?

I vaguelly recall that there is some issue with the C64 kernel using different registers for channel identification for the vector hooks, or
internally in the kernel.. Check against the RPG.

fishsave(tm) does not work.

- fishsave doesn't work (as it is stated - on Linux), don't know, maybe whole fishsend is broken (original version)
