Password lost on kernel upgrade

Running 1.13-7.20091022svn.fc13 on Fedora 13 (64 bit).
It is set to save the password, which it does, but after I upgrade the kernel it asks for the password again. Then it remembers the password until the next kernel upgrade. Is this expected behaviour?

I tried to install to chekc on my hosted domain
checkgmail -profile=gideon -hosted=smolders.fr
i then fill in my account gideon@smolders.fr
but it refuses to check in

on a normla gmail account it works fine
any suggestion what I am doing wrong

I deleted all profiles and reinstalled

How to start 'check mail' from cmd?

With the mouse I can select from the system tray to do an extra 'Check Mail'.
How would I be able to start an extra check mail from cmd?
This way I can configure my email button on my keyboard.

Hello,
I've installed CheckGmail using Ubuntu's synaptic repository. I put in my username and password, but the program says "Incorrect username". I've even tried adding the "@gmail.com" part, but it won't work.

Please help.

my checkgmail keeps showing i have new mails i've
already read, is there a way to hide mails that are
already read and to prevent showing it?

I can only see the icon when I manually type
checkgmail in a terminal, and it goes away when I
close the terminal. im probably just missing some
stupid little detail here, so hopefully you can
enlighten me!
also, if I already have a browser open it opens in my
current window. is there a setting I can change that
will make it open its own window or tab?

401 Unauthorized with hosted domain

After installing from repository I started the app with
checkgmail -hosted=mydomainhere.com. When prompted for
uid and password I enter the correct information but I
get error 401 unauthorized. I have tried more than one
of the hosted email addresses when logging in but have
yet to be successful. The only thing the command line
tells me is "Use of uninitialized value in
concatenation (.) or string at /usr/bin/checkgmail line
605."

sticks on "checking gmail..."

I think the program works great, only issue (has
happened twice in the last 2 days, always seems to
happen when i'm sleeping or at work) is that it gets
stuck on "Checking gmail..." as the tooltip, and I need
to exit and restart for it to work again. Any ideas?

Other than that, the program has been nothing but
perfect for me.

Multi languages request

It should be great to choose language. Language file should be an XML
file with strings. See also Gmail-notify written in Python.

Every user could translate Checkgmail in his/her own language and
develop the project by sending updated XML to cvs

User should be able to choose language in Preferences. Amount of
possible languages should be extensible acording to XML file.

checkgmail crashes after start GUI

I am trying to use checkgmail but I have had some
troubles with it.
I can't manage making it work
I run ./checkgmail and everything seems to be ok. The
window pops up and I enter my email and password. Then
it crashes with the following error:

Undefined subroutine &main::encrypt called at
./checkgmail line 930.

I downloaded the version 1.0 and it happened the same:

Undefined subroutine &main::encrypt called at
./checkgmail line 913.

I suppose that my problem is that I don't have the
Crypt-Simple library in my Debian box. I downloaded it
but I don't know how to install it. the usual
./configure make doesn't work.

Could you help me
