As suggested I tried using CGI script instead of mod_perl and added the following to httpd.conf :
ScriptAlias /codestriker/ /var/www/codestriker/codestriker-X.Y.Z/cgi-bin/
Alias /codestrikerhtml/ /var/www/codestriker/codestriker-X.Y.Z/html/

AllowOverride None
Options ExecCGI
Order allow,deny
Allow from all
SetHandler cgi-script

and ran install.pl after this change. But still the same error.

Problem generating topic text:

I am trying to specify CVS module , start tag and endtag and creating topic but it fails
whereas cvs command - "cvs rdiff -u -r 1 -r 2 rgbufoundation" works fine.

I get the error as :Problem generating topic text:.It is not descriptive enough to understand the issue.

I am getting following error while running install.pl in my Linux environment.

My OS has perl with 5.8.8 version, and I am pointing to Oracle database.

I got an update for my earlier post saying force install. I am NOT sure how to install it forcibly.

Duplicate entry & unknown.txt errors

Hi,

I'm using Bugzilla (v3.6.4) and SVN (1.6.15 (r1038135)) glued together with SCMBug (0.26.21-1).
I'm using codestriker (1.9.10) to point to a bug and pull out the SCMBug comments for diff generation.
90% of the time, this works great!

The other 10% I have narrowed down to two different criteria:
1) Fairly large (10,000+ lines) diffs. This results in the following error being displayed in the browser:
Software error:
DBD::mysql::st execute failed: Duplicate entry '9855401' for key 1 at /var/www/codestriker/codestriker-1.9.10/lib/Codestriker/Model/Topic.pm line 176.
For help, please send mail to the webmaster (root@localhost), giving this error message and the time and date of the error.

2) Multiple SCMBug comments are made against one bug. This results in a submit which almost never returns. When it does return, it returns with a blank page. Either one of cases results in a a bug review that looks something like this:

Codestriker not supporting ' in email addresses.

Codestriker does not support the use of a ' in an email address.

We had trouble getting Codestriker to allow one of my co-workers, who has an irish surname, to be assigned to and create review topics.

I identified the problem as occuring in Input.pm, with changes needing to be made to the _untaint_email and _untaint_emails functions

Changing the regex in the functions allowed us to fix the problem.

_untaint_email
From - '[\s]*[-_\+\w\.{1,200}(\@[-_\+\w\.]{1,200})?[\s]*'
To - '[\s]*[-_\+\w\.\']{1,200}(\@[-_\+\w\.]{1,200})?[\s]*'
