The rotation setting only works on the current page, it should be maintained like the fit setting. Otherwise it is unusable on a tablet or other temporarily vertical screen.
Thirded. I think that I could really do with this, as I am reading manga, and I could do with seeing it a little bigger. It would allow me to see the smaller text, without having to change each individual page.

Please help me understand the use case better. With the tablet or vertical screen you're referring to, does the OS rotate the screen? In other words, does the title bar end up on top of the rotated screen, or does it stay put, leaving it on the side?
If the OS rotates the screen for you, then all you need to do is use single page mode, and you won't need to rotate individual pages.
