Hi there,

I work at a firm where we are also behind a very strict firewall, and we need to access a site that is hosted on port number 8080.

Is there any way that you can assist me with this tool to access a site on port number 8080 via the normal port 80 via our firewall?

I would really appreciate any help.

redirection issue

hi,
thanks for the aplication, it s really very useful.
but i have a question about webmail redirection.
i usually redirect webmail.myhost.com to http://webmail.myhost.org:2095/horde/index.php
because of some of mail users (who are a bit idiot) tells me that they can't reach their mail! By redirecting as mentioned i by-pass the application selection page (horde or squiremail). so teh idiots can directly log in to their inbox.

but when i ve installed the application this redirection -naturally- disabled.

is it possible in that tool to fix this? i tried to edit the code but i couldn't.

Need SSL support

The new version of cPanel my ISP just installed now requires SSL support, and cpanelproxy no longer works. Is there a beta version I could try out that supports SSL?

Support any web server port number

Current implementation of cPanel Proxy can only work on port 80. This enhancement will allow cPanel Proxy to work on any port number. It is necessary to support web servers running on port numbers like 8080, 8443, and so forth.

Use extra path information to select application

In order to simplify installation and allow using single non-wildcard SSL Cert for running cPanel Proxy, it is necessary to be able to select the application based on the extra path information as opposed to the subdomain name.

Assuming the cPanel Proxy with this enhancement implemented is installed at http://domain.com/proxy/, the application URL for WHM will look like this.

http://www.domain.com/proxy/whm/

HTTPS Support

It is absolutely necessary that cPanel Proxy can work through HTTPS connections.

When regular HTTP is being used all passwords, including root password of the entire server when using WHM, are sent in clear text. This is totally unacceptable as the passwords could be intercepted, and the server could be compromised.

using a different folder name for webmail

wondering if it is possible to modify cpanel proxy so
that webmail can be run off a different folder name eg
web.cpanel.net instead of webmail.cpanel.net

Debug mode: Log traffic

There should be a debug-mode which logs traffic from
cPanel Proxy to webserver.
