It&lt;br /&gt;
should be simple enough for beginning programmers to&lt;br /&gt;
use. You may want to look at the Smack Jabber library.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;As an example of how this framework would be used, I&lt;br /&gt;
would like to be able to create a trivial chatbot that&lt;br /&gt;
says "Booyah!!" for any message that anyone sends to it.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;The chatbot code I need to write should be in its own&lt;br /&gt;
object, and then this object is pluggied into the&lt;br /&gt;
Jabber framework. Thus I do not need to worry about&lt;br /&gt;
Jabber or networking, although I do need to have a&lt;br /&gt;
Jabber account on the server I want my bot to be  on.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;The exact design of this feature requires some thought&lt;br /&gt;
and perhaps experimentation. Please propose some ideas&lt;br /&gt;
