Log files from 25a and AiO 5500 1st gen printer

Hi Paul,

comparing both the log files as well as the print stream output of c2esp24 and c2esp25a on my 1st gen AiO 5500 printer, the only thing that I can tell for sure is that very early in the process, something seems to go dead wrong with CUPS reading raster/header information: cupsRasterReadHeader2().

The page that I tried to print using both versions was the usual CUPS test page of my CUPS 1.4.x release on RHEL 6, and I have attached both log files (KodakPrintLog24, KodakPrintLog25a) as well as both print streams (c2espjob24, c2espjob25a).

From the 25a files, you can see that the driver wrongly detects nearly any information, starting from page dimensions (818x1161) over print resolution (100x100) to bitsPerColour (1). As I don\'t have any CUPS knowledge at all, I am unable to figure out whether there is something wrong with the new PPD file, or some other strange reason causes this.

So I need you to look into why the detection of all these parameters might fail so badly...

Support for ESP Office 6150

I can send print jobs and only the first one gets printed. It comes out ok, but to print something else I need to turn off the printer twice and then on. I turn it off twice becuase it turns on by itself after the first time it is turned off.

Hi Paul,

using my patched version of c2esp23

I am able to print just fine using B/W and Non-Dithered Colour modes, but get \"Printer Error 100001\" errors with ColorDithered mode even when trying to print very simple documents such as the CUPS test page.

Please find attached the resulting print job file for the CUPS test page in 600x1200 ColorDithered mode, and a scan of the page that will be printed up to the place where the print job stops with the above error.

I hope that you will be able to debug what might be going wrong in dithered mode from these files.

theres no ppd file for it but there is a gpd file for it to many errors to get it to load dont know if its useful or if it canbe converted but here it is for the ESPOffice 2170 by kodak
