WinCVS Exits Immediately upon Startup

WinCVS Exits immediately upon exiting the tips screen or, if tips are disabled, it exits immediately after startup. There is no error message to indicate the nature of the problem.
Configuration:
WinCVS 2.1.1
Python 2.5.2
OS: Windows 7 Professional SP1 64 bit

external diff hangs

I am having the same problem as https://sourceforge.net/p/cvsgui/bugs/932/ but if I don't use external diff the internal diff works and ends with

** CVS exited normally with code 1 **

So I think there is a problem with the external diff. On version WINCVS 2.0.2.4 (Build 4) if you press the stop sometimes the external diff was opened but the server file was missing some lines at the end.

The CVS version is Concurrent Versions System (CVSNT) 2.0.51d (client/server)

In WinCVS Help > About I get displayed version 2.0.2.4 (Build 4).
The same software identifies as version 2.0.2.41 in the Add or Remove Software pane on WinXP.

Error updating a file in a long path (win 7 64bit)

My colleague committed a file in very long path, 257 characters lenght. When I try to update that file a get this error "cvs update: cannot write ../LONG_PATH/file.java: No such file or directory".

My operating system is Windows 7 professional 64 bit, which is my colleague OS too. I noticed that another colleague does not have any problem updating that file, his OS is Wondws XP 32 bit.

WinCVS crash in graph mode after file deleted

Hi all,
The "WinCVS About" says CVS Suite 2009. I deleted a file from a sandbox using "Remove Selected" button, didn't commit, started graph mode on that file then tried to double-click to view any of the versions in the graph and it crashes. Default registered editor is Notepad, Windows XP SP2.

Problem with WinCvs v2.1.1.1 (build 1)

Hello,

My OS is Windows 7.

I have a problem with WinCVS program. I am trying to login but the mouse
cursor is thinking but not log into the repository. I tried with an older
version of WinCVS 1.2 and works fine with that version. Is there any
solution for this or there is some version compatible with Windows 7?.

When starting WinCVS (after closing "Tips of the Day), the following error message message box appears twice:

Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Error
Program: c:\Program Files\GNU\WinCVS 2.0\wincvs
R6034 - An application has made an attempt to load the C rutime library incorrectly.

Clearing the preferences for "Python DLL" and "TCL DLL" helps also in suppressing the error message.

After dismissing the error messages, the "Ignore" marcos work. (Haven't used any other)

I have WinCVS 2.0.2.4 (Build 4)
Python DLL is c:\WINDOWS\system32\python26.dll
TCL DLL is c:\Program Files\Python26\DLLs\tcl85.dll

[cppcheck] found a memory leak

during a check of the current cvs head of CvsGui with the static code
analysis tool cppcheck, the tool found a memory leak in
cvsgui/cvs-1.10/src/server.c

Please see the attached patch that fixes the issue.
