1] - How about... a super fast preliminary wipe while my front door is being kicked in?
2] - How about... A normal set of Windows simulated boot screens (ie, slow) while a disk wipe is being performed in the background?
I do not know how effective such a quick wipe would be, especially that quick. I like the second idea, so no one knows the disk is being erased. That could help with the first

(1) You can still legally create your own unbranded fork of DBAN.
(2) That unfortunatly would be illegal for two reasons - First it would be considered destruction of evidence, and second it would be copyright and trademark infringement, as the Windows boot screens are copyrighted and trademarked by Microsoft.
