#88 Audible Feedback for Headless Operation
Greetings. I would like to suggest a feature for future versions of DBAN, this being audible feedback in cases where DBAN has been configured via isolinux.cfg to automatically start and is being run on a "headless" system (No monitor or keyboard connected). For example, some confirmation beeps from the PC speaker could be used to signify when DBAN is done wiping the drive. Different pitches and patterns of beeps could be used to signify successful wipes, wipes with non-fatal errors, and fatal errors or failures. Additionally, the beeps could be repeated every 30 seconds or so, in case no one is nearby to hear them when the wipe first completes.
