dblatex <sidebar> as text on the side?

#122 dblatex <sidebar> as text on the side?
I wonder, is there a way to get dblatex to present docbook <sidebar>
blocks as text on the side, similar to the layout described in
<url: <a="" href="https://tex.stackexchange.com/questions/99809/box-or-sidebar-for-additional-text">https://tex.stackexchange.com/questions/99809/box-or-sidebar-for-additional-text >.</url:></sidebar>
At the moment the sidebar blocks will fill the entire width of the page,
with no text flowing next to it.
The Debian handbook uses <sidebar> quite a lot, and I wonder if it can
be rendered any better. :)
