I cannot reproduce the circumstances of this as it is

The char shows on the editor as an ASCII 0 square box

Internal Preview crashes Win Xp Home

Sometimes when you click on Internal Preview tab, the
whole system reboots, and the file you were working on
is replaced with 4k of carriage line returns #13#10.

Highlighting error in EOT (style)

you get problems if you include single ' marks...
everything from here one will be highlighted.... basically
dev-php-se is failing to interpret the <<<EOT things...

Doesnt Open associated Files

In the windows file browser, when I click on a file
that's associated with the program the program only
launches but doesn't open the file.

TAB key on selected text erases it

Pressing TAB key on selected text erases it instead of
increase or decrease identation.

'Search' does not work sometimes

Sometimes when I search something, I got (at the
begining) the message, that searching string was is not
found. But it exists, of course.

And it would be much more comfortable to search just
like in Microsoft Visual C++ editor or EditPlus - press
Ctrl+F3 for remember a word near a cursor and find first
occurence, and then press many times F3 for find next
(wrapping at the end of the file).

Wrong syntax category names

Syntax configuration dialog does not work properly -
sytax category names are assigned to other (bad)
categoties, some settings are ignored, and so on.

There is no way to assign own color settings for PHP
library functions.

Hey. Es ist befreiend endlich mal wieder in Deutsch
irgendwo zu schreiben. (Unten ist eine pseude-Englishce
Version)
Also:
Hat man keine Datei geöffnet oder so, sind in der
Toolbar ein paar Buttons grau hinterlegt (Enabled=false).
Geht man jetzt im Menü auf "Anzeige->Anpassen..." und
schließt den Dialog einfach wieder, sind alle Buttons
auf Enabled=true.
Es passiert zwar bei den meißten Buttons nichts , wenn
man draufklickt, ist aber ein Designtechnischer fehler. :D

Englisch Version:
When there's no file opened, the Buttons in the Toolbar
are gryed-out. (Enabled=false).
But When I open the "View->Edit Toolbars..." Dialog and
close it, all Buttons have Enabled=true.

highlighting error with ' and newlines

using php highlighting, the following causes a problem:

echo 'some text (highlighted green) <some html tags>
some more text < !!! everything after the first "<" that
isnt on the first line is not highlighted, which basically
means that every bit of code after this occurance is
highlighted incorrectly.';

copy the above into Dev-PHP-SE and you'll see what I
mean.
It makes doing anything that prints HTML quite hard,
because it means we need to use " instead (because
there are no problems with using those) and in turn have
to \ slash all the html stuff...

I'd personally consider this a high priority bug as it
probably isnt that hard to fix and makes the software
nearly un-usable for html printing software...

Unusability of a part of the toolbare

When I work with a horizontal screen width at 800*xxx,
after resizing the window of Dev-php, at the launching
of Dev-php, the toolbare is restructured (??) and split on
two lines and all the icones of the second line are idle
(shaded).

So the following functions are disabled :
- cup, copy,
- close file, quit,
- search, replace,
- ...

After resizing the screen to 1024*xxx, the problem
remain. You need to resizing the window of Dev-php and
re-launch it.

This doesn't occure before version 2.0.1 (2.0.0beta9 is
good but the width of selection box of functions is
fixe ???).
