&lt;p&gt;in a manual (xml-format) that I converted&lt;br /&gt;
to texinfo using docbook2texi&lt;br /&gt;
I stumbled across an inline&lt;br /&gt;
code-Tag used in this document.&lt;br /&gt;
For my use I added&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;-----------&lt;br /&gt;
&amp;lt;xsl:template match="code"&amp;gt;&lt;br /&gt;
&amp;lt;xsl:call-template name="inline-markup-code"/&amp;gt;&lt;br /&gt;
&amp;lt;/xsl:template&amp;gt;&lt;br /&gt;
-----------&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;to verbatim.xsl in the xslt/texi directory.&lt;br /&gt;
I don't know if this addition is generally&lt;br /&gt;
helpful. Maybe it's better located in inline.xsl.&lt;br /&gt;
