Open existing fonts

When I try to open existing fonts, nothing happens. I have tried doubleclicking in the dialog, as well as pasting the filename (like "D:\My documents\My font.ttf") and pressing enter but to no avail. I have verified the path by pasting it in the Windows run box - it opens the font correctly.

Hello,
I made a mac bundle for doubletype.
I made it for myself because I wanted an icon in my application list, but maybe this can help you.

Import glyphs?

Just downloaded and installed DoubleType.

There appears to be no way to import fonts or bitmaps
as templates for new glyphs.

Am I missing something?

Importing from other formats

It'd be nice to import SVGs (e.g. from inkscape) ->
make like import-plugins so everybody can write one for
their own favorite editing app. + it has the advantage
of using supperior design tools so you could
concentrate on the converting

Pasting from illustrator/freehand

Would there be anyway to be able to paste paths from
another program vector like illustrator/freehand/flash?

I couldn't open already made fonts like ttf ones. Is it
OK ?
If it is not possible to modify already made fonts it is a
serious drawback.

Check existing file upon new and save as...

Upon new/save as.../rename, see if it's going to kill
existing file.

Check modified upon killing window
