Hi,
First, thanks for this really great and usefull software. I don't know if this bug report should go to DRBL or Clonezilla.
I am running DRBL Live in a virtual machine, to deploy a disk image to 4 computers. Using previous release (2.2.2-19-i686-pae), it works perfectly, but with the last one (2.3.1-6-i686-pae) it fails at the end.
The settings are basic and exactly the same in both cases. The deployement is set using the "beginner" option. The disk image is available on a Samba share. Targets are told to shutdown after deployement. The disk image is a basic "/ (EXT4) and swap" .
On all my failure attempts, one or two computers seem to go to the end and sutdown but are never able to reboot (probably a problem with the MBR as Grub never appears). The server also notifies that they ended. For the others, they hang with different messages, but this one happened to times :
mktemp: failed to create file via template /tmp/parttable-ocs.XXXXXX: Read-only file system
/usr/share/drbl/sbin/ocs-functions: line 483: $partition_table: ambiguous redirect
Feel free to ask if I can provide more informations. Regards,
Yvan
Thanks for this bug report. We are working on solving this issue, hower, so far it's not fixed yet.
This seems to be about systemd-udevd, and we have reported to upsteram:
http://lists.freedesktop.org/archives/systemd-devel/2015-September/034175.html
Please keep using the previous version (2.2.2-19).
Steven.
BTW, if for some reasons you have to use newer version, you can try this workaround (you need internet connection):
drbl-ocs-live-prep -b alternative
This will download clonezilla live and use that as client's OS when doing clonezilla jobs. You can use "stable" Clonezilla live by running, e.g.
drbl-ocs-live-prep -a i686-pae -b stable
Steven.

Please give DRBL live 2.4.3-8 a try:
http://drbl.org/download/download-sf.php?branch=testing
Some improvements have be done so this issue should be gone.
Please let us know the results.
Thanks.
Steven.
