&lt;p&gt;'pidof esd' called from /etc/rc.d/esd returns:&lt;br /&gt;
225 228&lt;br /&gt;

ifconfig with a static IP, then route add default gw. &lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Then ran TinyIRC, provided by TheLazy1. After&lt;br /&gt;
approximately 50 minutes of continuous use, it reported:&lt;br /&gt;
" &amp;lt;0&amp;gt;Kernel panic - not syncing: Aiee, killing&lt;br /&gt;
interrupt handler!"&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Virtual keyboard still responds to touch and LED still&lt;br /&gt;
flashes.&lt;/p&gt;
