&lt;p&gt;This causes information to be ignored, also, spurious error reports, "major prob, Bob!"&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;[ISO_IEC13818 ('Program specific information') section 2.4.4]&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;In this case, the pointer_field should indicate the start offset of the new table within the packet ; however this does not seem to happen, also the pointer_field value is not displayed in the Packet Decode window which tends to reinforce the view that this is not getting processed.&lt;/p&gt;
