"scanall country"

hi, there is a feature that I am really missing: a "scan all channels for a country" feature. I mean, what you do with set-top DVB boxes or newer DVB TVs.

In last few days a lot of new muxes started broadcasting, so today my TV lists ~100 channels; whereas 'dvbstreamer' lists just very few. I would like a feature "scanall italy" that would use a standard list of channels for my country, and would look for any new program.

To do the above, I use a combination of 'scan' (available e.g. in the Debian package 'dvb-apps') and then 'setupdvbstreamer' , but it is quite inconvenient. I use
$ cat /usr/share/dvb/dvb-t/it-* | sort -u | sed '/^#/d;s/ */ /g' | uniq -u > /tmp/it-all
to aggregate all channels; and I edit that file to manually add the channels that my TV found; then
$ scan /tmp/it-all > scan.out 2> scan.err
and eventually
$ setupdvbstreamer -t scan.out

DVB-S2 scanning parameters

Hi all,
I'm trying to scan DVS-S2 transponder within the command line interface with "scan" command but there seems to be a problem with that.
I have no problem scanning DVB-S but DVB-S2 is not possible unless I do a scan-s2 and then import the channels.
Is there any chance this to be added in the next release?

I like to include teletext data so I can extract the subtitles as text, as well as the DVB subtitles.

This patch adds that feature.

EPG passthrough & SDT/PAT rewrite

Hi,
I would like to have EPG passthrough and SDT/PAT rewrite support for better STB compatibility.
Currenty I see only Service ID and Pids but not the Service name.
DVB-S EPG is not passing through when I do udp:// output.

may you please add support so that it may possible to link dvbstreamer to an external, already installed, copy of libdvbpsi 0.1.7, instead of using the internal version of the source code ?

as I wrote in another bug, this would ease packaging in Debian

unicast (http) or icecast output method

Could you please add unicast (http://) output method? Or maybe output method for icecast to stream audio only (radio). Now I am using udpshout http://tipok.org.ua/node/23 to stream from a multicast UDP to icecast but it's not working perfectly - some packets drops and so on.

There is opposite utility dvbshout http://www.aelius.com/njh/dvbshout/ but it streams RTP that don't played by STB.

Support for Diseqc motorised dish

Would it be possible to add support for satellite systems with a Diseqc motorised dish? Or is there an easy work-around? Thanks!
