So basically as long as the 'Info' and 'Configure' buttons aren't implemented yet, they should stay greyed out.

If you "x out" of dvd::rip the queuing program doesn't see it close and therefore doesn't move on to the next item in the queue.

In practice the timer will eventually run out and the next project will get started, but there is probably a better way to do this.

you can't drag/drop .rip projects into the queue

you should be able to drag a .rip project into the queue and have it inserted at the place it was dropped

a double click (Gtk "activate" event) would be a
nice shortcut for "Add to Queue".

You could reduce the projects list on the left side
to projects which still reside on the harddisk by
opening the .rip file, searching for the 'vob_dir'
entry and check if this directory still exists.

There should probably be a preference to enable/disable display of projects that are already encoded (or maybe make use of the listview control and separate them into groups)

The progress bar is initially disabled, but once you
completed a queue, it keeps being activated.

Configuration: you could read dvd::rip's default project
file directory from ~/.dvdriprc. This is a Perl data
structure dump, but you simply could parse it manually.
Look for 'dvdrip_files_dir'.

you can't spell the author's name wrong of the program you specifically designed yours to work with.

no shell script launcher

the app needs a shell script to start it going that can be launched from any directory on the system, and includes a man/info page as well as a way to get the version of the program.

Doesn't tell you it's finished or change it's state

Once all the dvd::rip projects have finished the dvdrip-queue window doesn't indicate that it's done. The "Cancel" button remains, and the progess bar just says 100%.

Program SHOULD change the progress bar to say "100% - Done", and revert back to it's normal (non-encoding) state. As well as popping up a little window to let you know it's done, and give you a short report as to how things went (like if any of the ripping projects returned an error code, or if they reached the maximum encode time and were terminated)
