black line for results

I have started to use EsayCalc on my HTC Touch Pro 2 WM6.5, but I cannot see the results, the line remains black. I enclose a screenshot.

Starting solver causes reset

I have a Zire71 and Easy Calc 1.25. As soon as I call the Solver, I get
Fatal Alert
MemoryMgr.c, Line: 3635
NULL handle

There's a reset button in the dialogue, but it doesn't respond, which doesn't matter so much, because in about 30 seconds the system resets anyway.

no or wrong state file is the message i received when i start the program v1.25f , 1.25e is ok on my acer X960 WM6.1
Why ?
I tried to download the program and install it 3 times alwais the same error

clie solver "please wait" doens't redraw screen right

When using the solver and after the "Please Wait..." dialog shows up, the program doesn't redraw the screen properly.

I went ahead and updated this and also added some functions to the clie.* stuff to support it. Anyway, all the changes I've made TODAY to the code base is in this diff; that is, it includes the DisplaySci functionality, the Please Wait... in the solver correction, and the slight updates of Configure.in and makefile.in

hope this is okay.

specify location of sony and handera files, clean & calc-dia

1) The clean target Makefile in easycalc doesn't remove the stuff in calc-dia

2) it would be nice to be able to pass the location of support include files for Sony and Handera into configure

anyway I added these with a patch - hope you can use them.

Syntax error in Graphing

Entering the following in one of the functions in the graphing area returns a syntax error:

x^3 + 2*x^2 - 4*x - 8

New version crashes my TX

I dont know what details I can give to help but I just downloaded the latest version and when I put it on my palm TX it crashes whenever I try to open it. The previous versions worked fine, I've been using easyCalc for years (I love it). I'll try to keep my on this forum so let me know if theres anything I can do to help. For now I'm just going to go back to the last version.

Solver will not operate correctly w/ if()

Solver will not work with equations containing the if() function. This can be circumvented by embedding the if() in a defined function. However, although the defined function works correctly in solver under most circumstances, it does not work when the "steering" variable is the "undefined" solve variable.

Define function (broken up for clarity):
eint()="if(x(2)>0:
100*((1+x/100/x(2))^x(2)-1):
100*(exp(x/100)-1))"

In solver:
effint=eint(nomint:nperyr)

solving for effint and nomint work correctly, solving for nperyr returns "Impossible Calculation" message.

Free42 will solve correctly under the same conditions.

Solver Modify Focus

When in solver on worksheet, click on undefined variable, try to enter numeric value. Focus is on OK button, which is essentially useless, must click on value entry line to attain useful focus.

Now click on modify again, previous numeric value is highlighted, but focus is still on OK button, and it appears user must reselect previous value (or something similar) to attain useful focus.

Movement of the cursor not working

The cursor does not follows standard commands in the composition field, where you write the equation or inputs to calculate: when I strike left and right or the opposite I expect the cursor to move, respectively, one character on the left or one on the right, but it doesn't work.
I consider this as bug and not feature request because cursor movements are the standard PalmOS command.
I have the latest version on a Palm Vx 8 MB.
