I also would like to have that feature, as one could combine "Go back" with e.g. "Go one workspace left", "move window one workspace left" etc., using different modifiers but the same, easy gesture, instead of using three different gestures.

Is there any improvement of X11 performance with multi-touch?

@Thomas @Nasser have you seen https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/easystroke-mt/ ? Seems like someone did a version of it but I don't quite understand who supports it and how.

Gesture detection based on more input, not only relative mouse Movement.
For example: absolute pointer position and input device.

Example Usecase:
On Screen "touchkeyboard", tochscreen act as keyboard (Fatfingershell for all apps (https://github.com/zrafa/fatfingershell), http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DV4p414_VJM). Wacom stylus as mouse.

Could you please add an opt-out for not hiding the mouse pointer, simply the mouse pointer. Now it only has some colored gesture trace. My eyes are always on the mouse pointer when I draw mouse gestures and missing it makes me feel weird. It could seems more steady on PC.

Touch support in the server is just not well-behaved enough yet for easystroke to be able to use it. If you're feeling adventurous, you can check out current master and enable touch support (currently one single-touch) and watch the breakage ensue.

Please add the ability to use multi touch gestures on a touchpad. Gnome supports two finger scrolling, it would be nice to be able to swipe two fingers to the left or to the right to go back/forward in a browser for example.

I answered myself in the meantime, jacking up another keyboard that had back and forward buttons and using key bindings (to XF86Back and XF86Forward keys), and it works just as before.

Hi,

I recently upgraded to Ubuntu Quantal, and with it to easystroke 0.5.5.1. I had some strokes designed to simulate the back/forward buttons of a mouse, so to have generic back/forward stokes for various applications.

I found that the extra click now required to activate the button actions completely ruins my experience. If this feature (traceable to news item [2011-08-16]) is there to stay, I would really appreciate an option to turn it off. Not having such an extra click never posed any problem whatsoever to me in the past. If this is acceptable, do I have to wait for version 0.6?

In the meantime, or alternatively, is there a workaround for my specific case, like simulating key-strokes instead of buttons for back/forward?
