Ok, got it loaded (pulled&lt;br /&gt;
package down from ftp.xemacs.org) edited ~/.eicq/world&lt;br /&gt;
file with my icq and alias.  Edited my .emacs file (per&lt;br /&gt;
the instructions on the web site..thank you) but when I&lt;br /&gt;
attempt to start the eicq-login i get these errors...&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;W15:53 [!system] Trying to run a local bridge&lt;br /&gt;
127.0.0.1 at port 4743...&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;W15:53 [!system] Trying to connect to the bridge&lt;br /&gt;
127.0.0.1 at port 4743...&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;W15:53 [!system] ....connection failed&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;W15:55 [!error] Network is not connected when it&lt;br /&gt;
tries to send a packet&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;System is running Linux RH 7.0, (2.2.19) Xemacs version&lt;br /&gt;
21.1.14.&lt;br /&gt;
I have an IP connectivity.  I can ping 127.0.0.1 and&lt;br /&gt;
systems on the other side of a router.  Any help would&lt;br /&gt;
be most appreciated...BTW I am new to emacs and LISP&lt;br /&gt;
but if I can help (C++, UNIX, shell scripting) let me&lt;br /&gt;
know.&lt;/p&gt;
