You should use either ps2epl (after editing) or ps2epl.pl (just run it plain to see usage and supplies some of the arguments). Closing this. If you are still stuck after a trying those, please open new ticket.
I was just in the installation process of the driver.
I downloaded and compiled the package (0.4.0) .

When i try to test the converter using ps2epl, i get
the following output:
-----------------------------------------------------
neptune:/home/bernix/epson/epsoneplijs-0.4.0# ./ps2epl
So of course, i get an empty output file.

I tried:

* Changing the printer model from within the ps2epl script
* Using many different ps files
* Upgraded my gs version from 8.01 to 8.15

The distro is Debian Sarge (2.6.8-2-386).
Any futher information you need plese let me know and
i'll be glad to provide it.

I would really appreciate any help.
Thanks in advance
First of all I want tell you a big "thank" for these
drivers.
Now the problem (sorry for my ugly English).

I've brought an EPL-6200L and use it with Linux
2.6.11.2, CUPS and your driver.
I've obtained well-printed pages either with usb
(kernel) and with parport (libieee, kernel). I was very
happy, so I try for the flow control support. I
discovered the problem with Ghostscript (yes, I use
Debian) so I downgraded gs at 6.06 (maybe...).

The problem is that during print process (1000k job, 26
pages) some part of the pages are "skipped"; it seem
that the communication with the printer loss some bytes
at every time a chunck of epl file is sended to the
printer.
If I print with ps2epl command (without CUPS) I see
some errors even with "small jobs" (one page), but the
print is fine.

I ask you
a) can you help me?
b) if yes, what kind of informations do you need
(versions, logs, etc)?
c) I'm a few skilled in C programming with Linux. Can I
help you (ahem... I'm NOT very skilled...)?

Thanks a lot,
Enrico.
hmmm i just tried to print the EPL file through USB and it
worked for me!
I just tried to print the epl_test file that comes with your
software... to do so first i created the EPL file with ps2epl and
then sent it to the printer with the command

cat epl_test.epl >/dev/usb/lp1

and it worked perfectly.

I have Mandrake 9.0

Bye and thank you,
Luca [luca-t (at) libero (dot) it]

P.S.: Any idea how to make it work with CUPS too?
