Hi, I'm having some trouble with EqualizerAPO. When I launch the device selector, it fails to detect my Corsair Raptor HS40 headset for both playback and capture devices. Other devices like Realtek are showing up, but not my headset. Could there be a compatibility issue, or is something else causing the problem?

Although I'm not an expert on reading the programming code of Equalizer APO it seems that there are some audio devices filtered out. I think the main reason is about the audio device not having an audio processing object architecture. Then again, this doesn't happen a lot. Does your Corsaid Raptor HS40 came with software for effects on it like virtual surround sound? If so then it should have the APO architecture and show up in the Device Selector.
Another issue can be due to the installation of a former version of Equalizer APO which supported APO's which aren't supported by the Device Selector. Well, I think that can be an issue if I read the code correctly. Certainly for a first installation of Equalizer APO with the Device Selector this isn't the case.

Hi Peter, thanks for your prompt response much appreciated.I think the issue was the software of my HS40 after I uninstalled and reinstalled today APO architecture Device Selector could recognise my headset.

That's great to hear. We'll never know what went wrong but it doesn't matter 😃
