#8 SSL Support Request

Hi,

I'm sorry to say, I'm no longer maintaining this project. I vaguely recall looking into adding SSL support at one point a long time ago, but it significantly complicated things.

SSL support would be a must-have feature if I'd developed this today, but this addon is almost 10 years old.

This is a request to add SSL support to give one the ability to connect to an LDAP Server on port 636 if possible please.

Right now we have text fields that have numeric data with leading zero. When translated to excel the leading zeros are dropped which invalids the data as it needs to be used.

If there can be a way for a user to use there windows login to be able to run query. Leaving the username and passwd of a user out in the open on the C:\ is dangerous if more then one user share that computer

Don't halt on errors

Right now, when searching, if the software doesn't find the search criteria, it halts on that row. Would be better if it just reported the error in the cells but did not halt. This would allow completion of the full search. Thanks!!

Column Headers in add data mode

Can you provide an option to add headers with the "Add LDAP data to existing row" feature?

Can you also return a blank field instead of "NO VALUE"? Or at least, make it an option.

add ability to search for missing attributes

It's not very intuitive if you want to search for entries without an attribute. You can currently do:

(!(mail=*))

To search for entries without an email, but maybe adding an option like "find entries without this attribute" would make it clearer how to do it

LDAP Query of hidden attribute

The Excel LDAP search works great for most attributes but returns "NO VALUE" when querying a hidden LDAP attribute. In an LDAP browser we are able to query these attributes by explicit request selecting the attribute. Examples of the attribute in our LDAP directory include createTimeStamp and modifyTimeStamp.
