Admin options disappeared when theme was changed

Hi there,

I am currently exploring Exponent as a free content
management system in web design, but I encountered some
difficulties and may need some help from more
experienced developers. Concretely, when I changed the
theme of my site, the admin options disappeared and now
I can't revert the theme or perform other functions
from that menu. Any hint on how to resolve this issue
with my new theme? I used one of the themes that came
with the platform.

Page "Wrapper" in Exponent

I recently migrated from Mambo to Exponent. So far, I'm happy with
Exponent, but there is a feature in Mambo that I'd like to replicate in
Exponent. Mambo allowed "wrappers," which let me display an external
Web site within the frames of my Mambo site. All I had to do was tell
the wrapper component what the URL of the external site was, and it
would appear on a given Mambo page. Is there a module that will let
me do this in Exponent?

install issues

Hi. I have only worked with Flash programming. I am
trying to use Exponent CMS, and have downloaded,
unzipped and uploaded to my server. I am pretty much
stuck here. I have indeed read the "README" and
"INSTALLATION" docs, but it's a little above my head.
Please advise.

tags are inserted everywhere

Hi,

After i installed (and during the installation)
<i18n> tags are shown everywhere.
even the admin account that was created for had
(<i18n>admin</i18n>) tags around it.

All flags during the installation sucseeded...
Can someone help me?

can't find files...won't login

to http://www.austinsatyr.com installation went flawless
(or at least no problems reported by the wizard) and it
accepted my MySQL database

But final button took me to /index.php that showed file
not found.

So I tried /exponent-0.96.4/index.php and same file not
found, although it shows up there on ftp

tried /exponent-0.96.4/login.php and got screen, but
login failed, even though I'm sure its right.

Also, trying create account or password forget got file
not found.

Where do I go from here...reinstall, and if so, how?

Database Backend install failure

Using the following:

Windows XP Professional
IIS 5.1
PHP 5.0.5
mySQL 5.0

I get the following error trying to install:

Notice: Uninitialized string offset: 1 in
C:\IIS\TestSiteCMS\exponent-0.96.3\pathos.php on line 36
None of the installed Exponent Database Backends will
work with this server's version of PHP.

When accessing from Firefox or IE with the following URL:

http://192.168.0.4:8080/exponent-0.96.3/install/index.php

[The port 8080 designation is to evade a port 80 block
on cable ISP]

installation error - cannot upload/insert graphic files

I received an error when running the wizard - blah blah
blah - something graphic (I think it said GD). Now I
cannot seem to upload an images at all (or insert an
image into a page). ANyone have any ideas?

Error message during install - DB not supported

I keep getting the following error message when I try to
install:

"The specified database backend (mysql) is not
supported by Exponent"

Is there a doc anywhere that specifies what versions are
supported - I can't seem to find one.

Here is what I'm using:

MySQL ver 3.23.46
OS: FreeBSD 4.4
PHP 4.0.6_5

No tables to select from when exporting data

Hi,

sorry to post this support request in under patches
before. Didn't mean that.

I searched through the forums and Bugs but couldn't
find the answer to this.

I have a 0.96.3 site working well. When I go to Export
data I am offered no tables to select. I click on
"Select all" anyway, hit Export and get an
TR_EXPORT_EQL_NEEDONETABLE error in .../savefile.php in
line 38.

What have I done wrong?
